Later, when Larry was playing NCAA Division I baseball at the University of Wyoming, he balanced his goal of earning a bachelor’s degree in business with a rigorous training and game schedule so he could be true to his own goals without letting the team down.

In keeping with this philosophy, Larry began coaching the school’s junior varsity baseball team. It suited Larry to help people achieve their goals by providing guidance and support. Planning the strategies, bringing out the potential in the players, making everyone feel like part of a team—these are the traits that make Larry a natural leader.

With his college baseball career behind him and his business degree earned, Larry makes the most of every day in the community he worked so hard to find. He does it the only way he knows how—by doing all he can for his family and his neighbors. He and his wife, Cindy, volunteer in their children’s activities and also teach Sunday school at their church. Larry still coaches, but now it’s his son’s basketball, baseball or soccer teams.
